alwrmcusn Posted May 17, 2015 Share #1 Posted May 17, 2015 I have a friend who just bought a 2001 RSV. It's in very good shape but..... 1. It has a noticeable vibration in all gears when pulling hard. Any suggestions as to the cause? 2. He needs the paint codes to repaint the fairing. The colors are (my words) kinda dark red with purple red as the second color. Thanks.
pbjman Posted May 18, 2015 Share #2 Posted May 18, 2015 1. Could be so many things.... from out of sync carbs, clutch issues, funky tires, etc. Probably gonna need more description. 2. http://www.venturerider.org/history/rsv99/rsv99colors.php (stock paint colors for all years RSV) Send him to maintenance day! djh3 Posted May 18, 2015 Share #3 Posted May 18, 2015 Does the engine rev up with out gaining much speed? Sounds like it could be a clutch slipping.

Condor Posted May 18, 2015 Share #5 Posted May 18, 2015 The vibration when pulling hard is either running on 3 cylinders or way out of carb sync....
Flyinfool Posted May 18, 2015 Share #6 Posted May 18, 2015 In addition to all of the above, the vibration could even be lugging the engine. These engines like to rev. They can not be driven like a harley.
