It made no difference so I pulled it to check ... sure enuf, it wasn't an 'I' so I made them get me an 'I' but I put it in myself coz I already had it apart. If a guy could take both gears then it probably would. That said, who says the 1st gen's didn't? My 85 had a helluva whine between 2900 and 3100 rpm and I'm certain it was the clutch basket gears, just like the 2nd gens. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
