StarFan Posted August 17, 2014 Share #11 Posted August 17, 2014 2nd Gen is 99-current. Whole different looking bike. Well actually 1999 to 2013. Discontinued in 2014 Now lets hope for a new Venture in 2015 even though I doubt Yamaha will come through so soon

Sylvester Posted August 17, 2014 Share #13 Posted August 17, 2014 Now lets hope for a new Venture in 2015 even though I doubt Yamaha will come through so soon I don't see another Venture. Polaris has so many touring bikes that even the big HD is suffering with reduced production because of Polaris (Victory and Indian) and of course Honda dominates the market. Pegasus1300 Posted August 17, 2014 Share #15 Posted August 17, 2014 Like Monty totally different rides indeed Correct me if I'm wrong 83-85 MK1 86-93 MK2 like Monty stated 83 model is the meanest Venture made basically VMax with touring package !! Remember that the Venture came first so actually the Vmax was a hot rodded Venture with all the touring stuff stripped off V Boost, bigger carbs, hotter cams, and lower final drive ratio.
