RSTDdog Posted August 24, 2013 Share #4 Posted August 24, 2013 There are two Hagon Distributors in the US. Hagon LLC in California which is where I ( and Phillip Sisk above) got mine. 399.00 shipped with regular spring, 469 shipped with up rated heavy duty spring. They typically have them in stock ready to ship and if you want Hagon, that's the place to go. The other is Dave Quinn Cycles who does not stock them and is more money. I have not ridden a Works equipped bike to compare so I can't provide a comparison. I could not in my mind see how the works shock was worth over $300 more than the Hagon. Warranty on the Hagon is better at 2 years unlimited mileage, both are rebuild-able, visually construction quality appears equal to me. I like the set screw and single ring spring pre-load adjuster on the Hagon, vs having a locking ring (two rings)that requires two spanner wrenches to tighten. That siad I have not had to adjust the preload on mine.

Kregerdoodle Posted August 25, 2013 Share #6 Posted August 25, 2013 I have a Works, not happy with it, but spent too much on it to change to another brand...

RSTDdog Posted August 27, 2013 Share #8 Posted August 27, 2013 I have a Works, not happy with it, but spent too much on it to change to another brand... What don't you like about it? RSTDdog, did you by the standard shock or the heavy duty one? Heavy Duty I weigh 195. Combine weight is also 350ish.
