dingy Posted February 14, 2013 Posted February 14, 2013 Does anyone know what font is used for the Royal Star badge? My day job entails CAD mechanical design and full usage of a high end 3D printer. I want to print a revised set of tank badges and rename the Hybrid to 'Sylvester'. This will be a match made in cartoon land to Tweety. deepforkriver Posted February 14, 2013 Posted February 14, 2013 Gary, While I do not know the font, I do feel your day job. 32 years in drafting/CAD. And also, Maybe a tweak on the name, SylveSTAR. It's gonna be sweet! Cant wait to see it finished, James

k9cottage Posted February 14, 2013 Posted February 14, 2013 looks a bit like ms copper black italic but i have been known to be wrong just ask the wife

dingy Posted February 18, 2013 Author Posted February 18, 2013 Got the logo somewhat laid out in CAD. I have to put some more fillers in to tie all the letters together yet. I have the curvature that is need to match up to the tank in the side profile. Not that I didn't think the SylveSTAR idea wasn't worthy, it would not have been understood by the vast majority of the people I am around with the bike. I couldn't find an exact match for letters, so I traced each one and rearranged them. I didn't have a lower case e or s, so I used the o to make the e, and scaled the capital S for the lowercase one. Made a v out of the y. Gary
