Go up 321 to 58 to 16 to Marion and ride up to Tazewell (The back of the Dragon) Pretty much any road in that area is good in my opinion. HotRodYJ Posted May 14, 2012 Share #3 Posted May 14, 2012 Yep, what he said. 421 is the best ride up this way, but any road bewteen JC and Boone, NC, or up into Southwest VA is a good road in these parts. Any suggestions about places to ride and see there? Keep me posted on your schedule and we may be able to get some locals together. We have many things in this area to do and there is a lot of history. Jonesborough is only about seven miles from JC and it is the oldest town in TN. We have more beautiful rides locally than you could enjoy in a month. We are within just a little over an hour ride to the Blue Ridge Parkway. As great as "The Snake" is on 421 and you can Google it, It would probably not be a good ride on that weekend, as the traffic will be like The Dragon. My phone # is in my profile.
