HotRodYJ Posted April 13, 2012 Share #1 Posted April 13, 2012 I'm new to the Venture world and will be installing a 1300 transmission in my 83 to fix and upgrade the 2nd gear issue. I figure since I'll be there anyway, this may be the perfect time to upgrade the starter as well, along with starter cables. I'd like to go to the newer 4 brush starter if I can get one cheap enough. Been looking at them on ebay it seems very doable. From what I've read, it sounds like any 2nd generation or newer will work, so this means anything Yamaha Venture from 93-2012 will fit. Am I right?
