Flyinfool Posted April 10, 2012 Share #27 Posted April 10, 2012 We constantly are catching either chipmunks or red squirrels here around our house using a Have-A-Heart trap. One year we caught 28 chipmunks and 16 red squirrels. Just set the trap using English Walnuts. Break open a few and leave a trail up to the trap. Also place some on the trip mechanism. It usually doesn't take too long to catch the little pests then its a quick ride to the woods a few miles away so they don't come back. A few miles ain't far enough, they could be coming back home. Many critters are good at that. Hit them with a drop of food color on there back to tell if it is the same ones you are catching again. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
