bluerstd08 Posted March 24, 2012 Share #1 Posted March 24, 2012 Ditched chopped up HD fairing and ordered a RS fairing from http://www.recklessmotorcycles.com. It fit perfectly with a homemade mount. Its going to get redone too but it works for now. http://maps.google.com/maps/api/staticmap?center=34.808488,-77.362685&zoom=14&markers=34.808488,-77.362685&size=400x300&sensor=true
TDbiker Posted March 26, 2012 Share #2 Posted March 26, 2012 Which model fairing from Reckless did you order? I don't see one for the RSTD specifically.
djh3 Posted March 26, 2012 Share #3 Posted March 26, 2012 I had a recless on my Kawasaki I had to make mounts. I bought one for a road king I think it was. I used partly my mounts for the memphis shades windshield and modified the mounts that came with the fairing. Over all I thought the faring was built pretty dang good. bluerstd08 Posted April 3, 2012 Author Share #7 Posted April 3, 2012 Ok, I have the finalized mounts to mount a reckless motorcycle fairing if anybody is interested. It bolts directly to the plates that come with the fairing and my bracket mounts directly to the bike in place of the stock windshield hangers.
