Drahthaar Posted June 16, 2011 Share #1 Posted June 16, 2011 I'm sure this has been asked, but, I'd like to add highway pegs to my 06 RSTD. I have no other accessories mounted down there....looking at Kuryakin...any suggestions on brands, models, mounts? Thanks!
Yammy Posted June 17, 2011 Share #2 Posted June 17, 2011 These are nice and fit right on your floor boards. I've had a pair going on five years the chrome still looks like new. http://motorcycle-accessories.cruisercustomizing.com/search?lbc=cruisercustomizing&uid=717592508&ts=custom&w=deluxe%20heelrests&af=&isort=score&method=and&view=list&model_id=41&searchtype=products&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.CruiserCustomizing.com%2Fdetail.cfm%3FCategory_ID%3D6%26manufacturer_ID%3D6%26product_ID%3D15946%26sblid_name%3DCustom_World_International_Deluxe_Heelrests___Yamaha_Royal_Star_for_Yamaha_1300_Royal_Star_Tourer_Deluxe&rk=1&rsc=OxMa9dNAMaJOQxgs&p=R

FuzzyRSTD Posted June 17, 2011 Share #4 Posted June 17, 2011 This is what I have on my bike. They work fine and are very comfortable, I have had several people to ask me where I got them. JC Whitney for cheap. http://www.jcwhitney.com/fold-up-highway-floorboard-set/p2006697.jcwx?filterid=c14704j3 Fuzzy
Globewalker Posted June 18, 2011 Share #5 Posted June 18, 2011 A lot of folks also use the Kuryakyn longhorn dually pegs. They are very adjustable. See this thread for pics http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=57747 And search for related threads for other ideas.

FuzzyRSTD Posted June 18, 2011 Share #7 Posted June 18, 2011 Thanks for this link, just ordered mine! Welcome, hope they work fine for you. I did not have any issues with the install at all. They are made to fit 1" crash bars (fine print). The adjustment was kinda funky if you do it by yourself. I would suggest get on the bike and get into riding position with the side stand down and have someone move them for you till comfortable. I had no help and it took longer to adjust than to install. The finish is not pure chrome flashy, but they work great, and for the money you can not beat them. Mine are three yrs old and are not rusted or pitted. The platform for your feet is very sturdy and big enough to be comfortable. I have mine installed low enough that I even stick my feet past them and prop up to stretch my legs on long hauls. LilBeaver Posted June 18, 2011 Share #8 Posted June 18, 2011 Thanks for this link, just ordered mine! Do note that some have needed to put a slight shim inside the clamp to get them to stay put under high pressure.
KICKSHOT Posted June 19, 2011 Share #9 Posted June 19, 2011 I use Drag Specalties popsicle pegs. Works good for me. Sorry no pics. They give me three different foot positions than stock. Kickshot
