Godlover Posted September 27, 2010 Share #1 Posted September 27, 2010 I have a friend who has an 83 and he did some repair work on it. Now - when he pulls on the clutch lever it won't move - but when he loosens the bleeder - it will. He also can't get it to shift even into Neutral. I know he had to replace the stator cover. Any suggestions.

Godlover Posted September 28, 2010 Author Share #3 Posted September 28, 2010 Not sure if he had the clutch out - but I'll ask him - thanks
Dano Posted September 28, 2010 Share #4 Posted September 28, 2010 If he worked on the clutch or pulled the slave cylinder, then the rods could be stuck or as posted before the cover's not on right. I would also make sure the knuckles on the shifter arm and the relay arm behind the stator cover are pointed in the correct directions. If not, they could be keeping him from shifting.
