Can anyone tell me what a Venture motor weighs without the carbs. I need to get one shipped and I am trying to get estimates and need a good weight. I know one person can pick it up, but I havent done it so I have no idea.

Having moved mine around a bit this winter, I would guesstimate about 175#.

I would have said the same thing.

 

Two people can pick it up and put in the back of a van or even a hatch batch. Probably do it yourself but it will not be fun.

 

Careful can easily pull a muscle moving it around.

Muffinman must be pretty strong, because I saw him pick up the engine from Clays bike when we had it hear for a remake...............He made it look pretty heavy, judging from the color of his face and the weird expressions, when he tried to get it up on the work bench. Someone else judged it to be about 220 lbs, so I guess I will use the heavier weight for estimation purposes. And just because he uses pink here and wears pink chaps, Muffin aint no pansy.....................:rotfl:
