The thrust washer that is behind the basket that

holds all the friction disks , It goes on the splines

and then drops onto the flat round part leaving

space and wiggles around is this correct ?

There are no splines after that and under the clutch

basket it self. Just wanted to make sure.

Thanks,

Jeff

Jeff,

To me, that doesn't make sense. Why go to all the trouble to make a thrust washer with an internal spline ($$) if it isn't going to use those splines once installed, but just sit in a spot with no splines? I don't think something is right here.....

Edit: Of course, after reading Squeeze's reply, maybe I'm all wet!

Right. I even pulled the clutch basket all the way off to make sure

if there where any splines to go onto but there is none. I remember

when I first slide the friction basket off that washer was perfectly

on the back side of it. with the oil keeping it in place I guess. but

I agree why did they add the teeth to the thrust washer? when

there is nothing to hold it at the end?

Squeeze huh? so look at my pictures again please. I just am not understanding yet :D
