slick97spirit Posted April 2, 2010 Share #1 Posted April 2, 2010 Had to leave out last night to visit a customer of mine about 3 hours from home so thought I'd take the scoot and make a ride out of it. About 45 min. down the road (it's dark out) and I begin to hear the truckers talking about a "big ol gator" at mile marker 71.4 I look up to see where I am and BAM. At that point I didn't have to wonder where it was anymore. The bad part is that it was laying upright and curled instead of flat. I rode it out, but it shattered one & maybe both of my lower cowlings. Guess I'll be looking for those soon. I'm just glad I'm here to tell about it. Flyinfool Posted April 2, 2010 Share #3 Posted April 2, 2010 The only thing worse than finding a Big Ol Gator in the road is watching it hatch. Glad you came out in one piece.
ediddy Posted April 2, 2010 Share #4 Posted April 2, 2010 Wow! That had to be an eye opener. Glad you didn't get hurt and have to deal with those evil insurance companies that forge your name to the uninsured motorist form.
Wanderer Posted April 2, 2010 Share #5 Posted April 2, 2010 Glad you're alright. I've been fortunate not to have tangled with any gators, yet. Knock on wood.

FreezyRider Posted April 2, 2010 Share #8 Posted April 2, 2010 Well, I'll go out on a limb here and make a guess that Ken's insurance will handle this promptly and fairly. It helps to be an insurance man in these situations, huh Ken?
