Grandpagak Posted March 30, 2010 Share #1 Posted March 30, 2010 went for my first ride on my 86 that i bought from russel.. it was a great 75 mile ride... really windy tho.. when i got home and was about ready to get off the bike the wind came up and i almost lost it. but u managed to get it back under control.. praise the lord.. hopping to go again today..the bike is awsome.. the cruise quit, the lites all work but it doesnt lock in. any advice?? phill12 Posted March 30, 2010 Share #2 Posted March 30, 2010 check you brake and clutch switches. make Makesure they haven't come un-plugged. you might want to pull them loose from the switch and clean the contacts. Squidley Posted March 30, 2010 Share #3 Posted March 30, 2010 Gary, I know on many of my 1st gens once I set the cruise I have to push the button on the handlebar to accelerate to "pick up" the cable slack. Do you have all 3 of the lights come on @ the same time? and stay on? That wouldn't be a good thing and then I would start to check the levers for play as they will disengage the unit.
