ffjoe Posted March 26, 2010 Share #1 Posted March 26, 2010 I did a valve adjustment and got it all back together and running but now my choke handle will only pull out about a 1/4 inch, not enough to really work. While the carb was off, all I really did to it was spray it with carb cleaner. I did move the pistons in and out with my finger while spraying it. Did I do something wrong? V7Goose Posted March 26, 2010 Share #3 Posted March 26, 2010 The various pieces of the choke activating mechanism are all very soft metal, and it is is easy to bend them. Even slight bends will bind up. Try disconnecting the cross-over rod so you can move just one side at a time to try to find out where the problem is.
