wes0778 Posted July 5, 2009 Share #4 Posted July 5, 2009 Not sure about other years, but my 1998 RSTC seat has a tab the slips into a slot close to the fuel tank. Then there is a tab on the rear of the seat that points straight down. That tab snaps into a latch which locks the seat in place. To get the seat off takes the ignition key to unlock the rear latch. The Venture has the slotted piece on near the rear of the seat and two bolts that hold the front down. I don't see how you could modify the Royal Star seat to fit the Venture.
