1BigDog Posted April 27, 2009 Share #2 Posted April 27, 2009 You will need a set of brackets to make them fit. Look in the classifieds under second gen parts and look for the brackets made by Hillis. Most of us run Road King mufflers. But Im pretty sure most full dress HD mufflers will fit. Were you offered them for free? And what condition are they in? But I also have a bid on some 2000 road kings on ebay. Hope I don't get them now, unless the road kings are better. I highly recomend that you make sure that both ends (exhaust headers and mufflers) are clean and ALL deposites removed. I spent an hour trying to fit the left muffler on and then took my dremel and cleaned both ends up real nice and added a little high temp grease on the inside of the muffler and the outside of the header. The right side was completed in about 10 minutes after they were cleaned up. Also make sure your mufflers end with -95, -95a, -98 or -98a so you can drill out the baffles. I also recomend contacting Mark at hillis73@aol.com for your brackets. This guy is great and has allot of info for you on how to complete your install.
