Sealed battery effect on display

I installed a new sealed battery. It has no connection for the small wire was connected to the original battery. As result a battery icon shows up on the display. I assume there is nothing to worry about and just ingnore the icon. Any comments?

There's no harm in leaving it that way but there's a fix for it if it bothers you:

If you do the Mod, be sure to install the Resistor !!!

 

DO NOT HOOK , that wire going to the battery water level sensor DIRECTLY to

12V !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

If you do, it will FRY, the Display unit
