Six small srtips of 5 or 6 lights per strip. 1. is it best to put them on their own on/off switch or jsut wire them into the running lights? 2. wire them up in parrallel or series (after an inline fuse of course)? For under the trunk, I was just going to tie 2 of them into the led tail light. Then 2 under the tank, one just above the radiator and maybe the last under the seat above the side covers. From what I have been told by Madison county Police Dept., it depends on their color... RED & Blue are illegal..period.. 50btripn Posted March 25, 2009 Share #5 Posted March 25, 2009 Alabama's Attorney General, a few years back, sent out a "memo" to help clarify the law, and in a nutshell, any auxiliary lighting not installed by the manufacturer is unauthorized/illegal while on Alabama roadways. The "memo" came out after several tickets were issued by Montgomery P.D. for the neon lights under the vehicles, and the judge(s)/prosecutors wanted better clarification. You can have them installed, and sit in a parking lot with them on all night long, but once you hit the roadways, they have to be turned off, according to the "memo".
