SteveB Posted March 12, 2009 Share #1 Posted March 12, 2009 I recently bought a Garmin Nuvi 260W. I like the unit and going to use it on my bike when we go to Branson in May, and a longer trip in August. What type of mounting system are you using to mount on your bike ? Where on the your bike ? Pictures please. Thanks Steve
cecdoo Posted March 12, 2009 Share #2 Posted March 12, 2009 I have a nuvi 750 I used a Ram mount. The mounting point is connected where the left mirror stem fastens to the bike. Great mount simple install. Unit sits rite above radio control when finished. Craig

Which 1 are you using ? Steve
cecdoo Posted March 13, 2009 Share #4 Posted March 13, 2009 The arm that attaches from the cradle to the mounting ball is 4" long. You just need 3 pcs. the ball mount that attaches at the mirror stem a 4" arm or longer if you like, but if its much shorter its not gonna fit above the radio controller, and a cradle for your nuvi. cecdoo Posted March 13, 2009 Share #5 Posted March 13, 2009 Steve, I used Ram-B-252u base, and Ram-B-201u arm and then the cradle that fits your unit. Hope this helps. Craig

5bikes Posted March 14, 2009 Share #8 Posted March 14, 2009 Cost $0, usually made from scrap aluminum or old brackets I save. Clean, cut and paint to match the bike.
