SpeedoHealer Calibration

I think mine calibrated out to -6.5 and I think Don mentioned, in another post that his was something like -7 so, no, they're not all the same. However, I may have to re-calculate because I did it at 80 and they say, in the instructions, to get the reading at 60.

 

But, yes, -5.5 sounds like it's feasible and could very easily be correct for your bike.

I've actually found 7.5% to be pretty much dead on. I started there because that is what the guy who wrote the instructions had ended up with and I found it to be correct. I've also ridden with a lot of other folks on the RSV and we seemed to always be about the same percentage off. I would start with 7.5% first.

Are you guys talking, 2nd generation speedos?

My 86 has always seemed to be off by about 7% I figure.

 

Where can I get info on this speedohealer?

egleeye, yes, we are talking 2nd gen speedos. This unit will not work on the 1st gens as they have a mechanical speedo and the 2nd gens. have an electronic speedo.
