GAWildKat Posted January 22, 2014 Share #3 Posted January 22, 2014 If it's an MKII for a royale, I'll add it to the parts collection for Mike's bike. Let me know details.
icebrrg3rd Posted January 22, 2014 Share #4 Posted January 22, 2014 Bob, you forgot to break it up for '83 MK1 vs '84/85 MK1... I've got a few spares so I'll let someone else grab the deal. -Andrew
Black Owl Posted January 22, 2014 Author Share #5 Posted January 22, 2014 I do believe that for the 1st Gen they were all the same, but it is for a :15_8_211[1]:1986 Venture Royale......
GAWildKat Posted January 22, 2014 Share #6 Posted January 22, 2014 Well Mike has an 87 royale...does that help?
bongobobny Posted January 22, 2014 Share #7 Posted January 22, 2014 Yes Kat it will work just fine! The differences on the earlier ones is the Cruise Control On indicator which is a light on the speedometer but only for the Royale. There are subtle differences but ARE all intercnangeable... The differences on the earlier ones is the Cruise Control On indicator which is a light on the speedometer but only for the Royale. There are subtle differences but ARE all intercnangeable... The plug connectors are different on the bikes that don't have the gear indicator in the cluster, they won't interchange with the units that do have the gear indicators. 83 & 84 are main ones. The 85's had the cruise light in the tach head, these are interchangeable with the later ones. Gary
bongobobny Posted January 22, 2014 Share #9 Posted January 22, 2014 I think he is just talking about the speedometer, not the whole dash Gary, but I could be wrong... PS you're right, the CC indicator is on the tach, not the speedo...
Ben Rollins Posted January 22, 2014 Share #10 Posted January 22, 2014 (edited) If it's not spoke for I could sure use it. I have to run off RPM's. Edited January 22, 2014 by Ben Rollins

Black Owl Posted January 23, 2014 Author Share #12 Posted January 23, 2014 Already spoken for. Thanks for the interesting discussion on which model year(s) it would work on.
icebrrg3rd Posted January 23, 2014 Share #13 Posted January 23, 2014 '83 has unique graphics on their speedo & tach vs. later years, but they interchange and show the correct speed. -Andrew
BradT Posted January 24, 2014 Share #14 Posted January 24, 2014 Thought I saw some with the Trip odometer and some buttons were in a different spot as well ? Brad
pmelah Posted January 24, 2014 Share #15 Posted January 24, 2014 on my 84 the cc light is in the tach head but its a later 84 i also have an 84 speedo cluster that does not have the cc light in the tach head so i guess its from a standard and not a royale my tach head also has in fancy lettering venture royale on it some thing the other cluster does not have but both have the gear indicator on them
