Ebabe Posted December 8, 2009 Share #1 Posted December 8, 2009 Recently had exhaust Y repaired on bike under warranty, successfully I might add, but now I have discovered exhaust blowing through small holes (2) underneath each rear pipe section. Is this normal? I originally thought they were for moisture drainage. Can someone shed some light on this for me. Thanks, Ebabe
BuddyRich Posted December 8, 2009 Share #2 Posted December 8, 2009 (edited) Each muffler has a set of small holes. 4 or 5 I think. That is for condensation drainage. Yes, you will feel a little coming out of them when the bike is running but that's just the way it is. Scooter Bob Posted December 8, 2009 Share #3 Posted December 8, 2009 I've had my RSV for 4 1/2 years now, and just noticed these Saturday on a cold start up. Must have never looked at the right place at the right time before. I saw moisture laiden exhaust coming out the bottom from the two holes. Ebabe Posted December 8, 2009 Author Share #4 Posted December 8, 2009 Thanks for the info. Nice to know. Better to ask than just wonder about it. Take care, Ebabe
