  1. looking forward to seeing you in st. charles at the international rally. bil
  2. don, time to renew my membership. how do we do it now?
  3. come on folks lets get those registrations in with b2 mom for the rally. july 20th is coming up fast, and we need to start our official count for the t-shirts and banquet. make a vacation out of it. lots of tourism here like grants farm home of the budwieser clydesdales, the tansportation museum, and the arch, just to name a few.
  4. well said patti. i might add that if anyone is planning on rv camping at lakeside park you better get your reservations made. i was over there saturday and all pads were taken this weekend. also we only have the block on the primitive sights till june 1rst. after that its first come first serve. the motels are filling up fast. please don't wait till the last minute i want everyone to have a place to stay. this is a very popular tourist area with tons of stuff to see and do. you will not be dissappointed. as for planned rides, since we are expecting to have alot of bikes, we will not have any planned rides. what i have decided to do is give everyone a list of places to visit and sights to see with addressess to put in your gps. than you can group up with others or go sight seeing on your own. me, and colesgrampa will help to get folks on their way. the st. charles visiters bureau will be handing out info when you checkin monday july 20th at the comfort inn lobby. the two main places of interest and great rides will be herman missouri, wine country, and hannible, mo., home of samuel clemens. this is meet that you won't want to miss. help us out and get you reservations, and register with b2 mom. thanks puc for the bump. bill
  5. i had one that i bought new. very powerful, alot of vibration at higher rpms, very good seating position, i think the five speed helped the vibration at highway speeds. mine was a four speed. the five speed had thinner gears so they would fit in the same case. the transmission was weaker. great fun bike. they also have automatic valve adjusters. very easy to maintain. mine would almost lift the front wheel rolling on the throttle. very cool looking bike. they are air and oilcooled, meaning the oil is injected on the bottom of the pistons and circulated through a large oil cooler.
  6. any one wanting tickets for the rally grand prize trailer drawing , contact freebird. don picked out a great looking bike trailer, and you could be the lucky winner. you don't have to be present to win. the drawing will be at the rally banquet july 23.
  7. looking forward to meeting you. bill
  8. okay folks, a reminder to register on the calender, and send your registration form and money to b2 mom for the rally. she is accepting checks or paypal. we need to start a head count for t-shirts and the banquet meal. this is everyones meet so we need everyones help to make it a big success. there is so much to see and do in this area you may want to make a week or two vacation out of it. you won't be disappointed. the committee is working hard on this one to make it the best one ever. bill
  9. so i guess your calling me or wingman a liar.
  10. i saw first hand wingman and swifty on his first gen bash one off at vogel. wing man won. i asked wingman how fast he topped out at and he said 135 mph. i raced several ventures with my 09 wing and dusted them bad. not even close. they say my stratoliner will run with a wing when it was stock. i can't tell by feel because they feel totally different. my strat is modified and very fast and could possibly beat a wing. it will do 135 easily.
  11. gee owl, you have had a rough ride. i'm hoping and praying you have a speedy recovery. bill
  12. i'm thinkng at least 150. i have space for 150 at the banquet, with room for an additional 150 if we need it. i have four famous people on my committee that are coming. freebird, b2 mom, aussie annie, and eusa1. i'm working on garth brooks. he won't return my calls. go figure. lol
  13. i would have to go with a wing for most reliable. they have a million mile club.
  14. you can mail prizes to me ,(william predock, 2949 oetting, st. charles, missouri, 33303), if your not attending, but want to donate something. please pm me when you send something, so i can watch out for it's arrival. thanks, snarley bill
  15. hey patti, guess who gets to call the no's.
  16. i stopped in at the campgrounds and negotiated the 14% discount on the full hook up sites. be sure you tell them your a venture rider.
  17. all the full hookup sites starting with a 2 such as 216 etc., are in the area ajacient to the primitive camping area. so folks wanting to reserve a full hookup may want to request one of these.
  18. those wanting electric will have to have a full hook up site. they all have 50, 30, and 20 amp electric, water and sewers. the prmitive sites have water nearby, no electric.
  19. we are going to have a drawing for door prizes after dinner at the rally banquet. anyone who wants to donate a prize bring something with you. it doesn't have to be new or bike related. we like to include things for the gals. its a good time to pass something you don't need on to some one else. we will issue drawing tickets at check in. it's free and lots of fun. see you there. bill
