  1. Sounds like you got some build up in the screen at the end of the faucet, Have to clean mine out every 6 months or so due to our hard water with lots of lime.

    Orlin

I took the screen apart and found some black rubber pieces. Cleaned it and put it all back together, and worked great.

I took a look at the shut off valve and saw that the inner black seal was all twisted and looked like it was breaking up into pieces.

    Thanks for all your help...

  2. So I was gone over the Holiday and so I shut off all the water shut off valves. I could have just shut the 1 main value into the house, but there was someone in the basement.

As I turned all the shut off valves on, I notice some water in one of the bathroom sinks, under the sink. The shut off valves were the origional from 25 years ago so I replaced them all.

Everything worked out ok except for 1 sink. I put new shut off valves on, I put new SS hoses on. With the hose unhooked from the facuett and that end into a bucket I turned the shut of valve on and I get lots of good water pressure from both the hot and cold.

After I hooked the hoses to the facuett, I checked for leaks and none to be found.

But when I turn eithor or both the hot and/or cold water, all I get is a very very very small stream of water from the facuett. I've never experienced this before, I've had leaky faucets and eithor fix or replaced the fasuett, but how can a faucett go bad like this?

  3. Any good recommendations on a solar charger.

I'd like to use it to charge 12 volt RV battery and also 1.5 volt rechargeable C, D, AA, AAA batteries.

Or maybe a 110 solar panel to plug in the above chargers.

I've never purchased a solar panel yet but I'm sure you all here have.

Thank You in advance for your advise and shared experiences.

  4. Looking for advise on ownership maintenance.

I bought a used Kobuta tractor/back hoe/front loader? It is 20 years old with 700 use hours. I've never owned one before but have operated a full size Case many years ago when I would visit my friend. So I basically played around with one. I've been living on 2 acres for the past 25 years and have done very little landscaping.

I've never owned a diesel engine. I do know that there are glow plugs that needs a few seconds depending on tempurature.

I'm thinking of many similiar motor storage issues.

    1) Store tank full after use with fuel stablizer. For I may not know when I will use it next.

    2) Plan to store it in one of my fully, enclosed, unheated, detached garage bays.

    3) Keep the tire pressure up.

    4) Follow routine maintenance

Plan on reading the manual from cover to cover carefully.

I can do average maintenance on most things I own.

    Any advise is welcome.

Any common non expensive tool items I should consider?

  5. I have an older 93 GMC Sonoma truck. It has 140K miles. In the last month the stock AM/FM/Cassette radio when I first start it up in the morning or when I start it up to go home from work after 8 hours of sitting. The Radio only produces static. I try different channels both AM/FM, but not the cassette (I will try the cassette tomorrow). About 10 to 20 minutes later the radio starts to squeek and soon I can tell that the sound gets better and better and soon it sounds really good. Sometimes the static would go away all of a sudden with good sound.

Besides replacing the radio anyone have a suggestion?

  6. Yes, Thank Them for their Service and Loyalty and Faithfullness...

I remember the release of our POWs in 73. I was a young man at the Air Force Academy, a freshman, a Doolie so called, pursuring to follow their steps. We also honored them, for there was a special lunchen, in honor of the Academy Grad POWs. for they were seated at the head of each of the 10 man tables.

  7. One of the guys at WNY rally , he was tall, slim, dark hair, his wife or girlfriend had been ill and could not com. (remember all that and he rode a Frankenstein 1st Gen but can't remember his name) was some sort of radio and antennae tech was talking about free "over air" satellite. Buy and install your own equipment and intercept satellite signal. Haven't looked into it yet. Probably bail on pay TV VERY soon. Sick of the cost and quality (lack thereof) of them all.

Let us know when you bail and how we can follow suite.

  8. I started with a family owned Tote-Goat. We were rock hounds and the Tote Goat was used to haul rocks out. I too had a paper route which allowed me to buy my own 1st bike that was a brand new 1969 Kawasaki 90 G3TR. I still have it and only missng 2 parts, but not necessary to operate. It ran to where it was stored. Only need to clean the carb and a new battery. My plans is to restore it.

  9. I have these rotor covers on my new to me gen 1.2. I torqued the axle bolt to 75lbs and it seems really tight. Does that mean that I need this spacer? I don't know what process the PO went through in putting on the rotor covers to begin with but he had also wired in the lights for the rotor covers but that doesn't mean they were installed properly. Please supply some info on the use and need for these shorter spacers?

When I bought my rotor covers on craigs list it did not come with the shorter spacer. When I got it all on with the origional spacer, the front wheel no longer would spin freely. The front wheel would turn with some pressure. On the road maybe one may not notice when under power.

I've included the installation instructions that a member gave me when I 1st encountered the issue.
