  1. when lookin at it.....the peg assembly for both sides has the pegs, shifter n brake, linkage. does that bolt right to bike? or is there a mounting plate that goes on bike first? cant seem to get a straight answer on anyone on ebay........found a set assemblies but not sure on the mounting plates
  2. what state do i have to click on to find lonestarmedic? about putting in the automotive equavilant of a thermostadt....how does a person cross reference that one?
  3. thanks for all the info.....new to venturerider. how do i find lonestarmedic on here?
  4. i have a beautiful set of boards with heel/toe shifter......got pegs? with linkage, brake n shifter? maybe we can work out a deal
  5. the startup hesitation always does it........hot or cold........like i said, never does'nt start just seems weird
  6. when i go to start my 86 vr.....i hit the starter, it gives a half turn of the motor, hesitates for a sec then vrooom....its running.....always does it.....never leaves me stranded. any ideas why? also......my temp guage runs higher than i like to see it. never overheats but whats normal? there r no numbers to see actual temp. ???? thanks!
  7. what else needs to be changed when converting it back to pegs from floorboards? if i get the pegs, do they have everything typically i need or is there something else? glad to hear the pegs were more comfortable.......its what i was hoping. the ankle angel has me very uncomfortable as well. on an upside........i now know why anyone who does any extent of traveling prefers full dressers.........no soreness or stiffness after a 120 mile stretch like my vstar 1100 and sportster gave me..........not even my old v-65 magna....love it on the highway! somedudenamedev
  8. ok, i have floor boards and highway boards.....just bought the 86 royal, (first full dresser) former cruiser styles....wanted to test the waters on an older bike first....found a very well kept up and beautiful one.................with the heal toe shifter, brake and boards, i find myself not being able to brake as fast as i like because of my own coordination......boards sit up high and lifting my toes to the brake is not a natural feel to me at all. they look great and r great under ur feet, just thinking of my comfort and safety. anyone else feel this way? anyway to put forward controls on or lower the boards and controls? if not.....what do i need to put stock pegs and controls back on? does anyone have some and want to throw in some cash for these boards? any info anyone has would be a huge help......
