  1. Actually Puc I only posted it to get a rise out of you. They bought it at a Vegas auction 10 years ago. It was presented as a 1928 model. When they got into it they realized it was a salvage bike 1930. Model with frame damage 28 front end, cracked case.Lot of incorrect parts wrong wheels. It is a work of art. Notice the Schwinn logo on the head stock? They were #3 behind Harley and Indian when Mr. Schwinn decided to concentrate on bicycles at the start of the Depression. 3 year restoration. 700 hours. I'm assuming that includes research travel and labor. Will try to master a few more pics tomorrow.
  2. Tried to make an album for a presentation I went to last night. FlyinFool tried to work me through it in chat but I'm a slow learner. More pics coming once I get it figured out. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/dbtgallery.php?do=browse_user&userid=28474&gal=gallery&id=5802&type=albums

  4. Good marketing! Hope it goes viral. How much does a Corvair go for these days? Ha Ha - spell check doesn't know what a Corvair is!
  5. Their cruiser link in the last page Freebird posted is non existent also! http://Star cruiser model lineup for 2016.
  6. Hmm hocus potus. Holes of pot? You're in Mexico getting stoned? You're supposed to ride past stuff like that and pretend your blind. That way they feel sorry for the poor blind gringo riding the bike who should have taken a left turn in Kansas and is now rambling through Mexico instead of Wisconsin. See how much I've already learned on the ADV forum? Speaking of which, the 70yr old grandma is taking a break so you're gonna have to fill the void. Hope you have cruise so you can type while you ride and take pics! AVOID the hole of pot! They're not made for you. Makes your head rattle and breaks all the plastic in your body.
  7. Ahh! A clue! I'm a little slow. Will study that one. TCI transistor controlled ignition? But if it's still running you're good. I assume the Beemer intends to.bring his ride back home! Are you still getting wet?
  8. a hysterically irreverent—and masterfully crafted—antiwar satire that will keep you guessing to the end. ??? You already been Shanghaid or something??? Please tell us the storms haven't carried you out to sea! What's your opinion of your vintage steed now that you've covered some ground? Of course I understand this is a disposable bike for you but your impression? This might not be the time to mention this but the TCI doesn't like to get wet. Lot of folks have moved it to a better location.
  9. Thanks that looks promising..think I'll try that before the XP thing. My old Memorex scanner isn't listed but maybe it'll be compatible anyway. Software was a little flaky after w7 upgrade.
  10. No. Restarted & it did OK 2nd time. Haven't done the compatibility thing yet. Trying to tie up loose ends & leave for Huntsville. Nothing clears the head like hitting the road... even if it is in cage. Just discovered my scanner isn't being recognized. I'm out of here!
