Thanks for your help but after changing filter and plugs plus running it with seafoam it still doesn't run cleanly. And now I have to wait out the weather to try to clear it out hard. The bike will rev perfectly sitting still in nuetral or clutch engaged so I guess I need to pull the carbs and go through them to see if the problem is there. I am not related to the Day's you asked about. Thanks again for your help, Tim

I just bought a 2000 RSV that has been sitting for a couple of years due to the owner was going to fix cosmetic damage to the trunk and bags but never got to it and put it on craigslist and ebay. He has been cranking it and running about once a month but not driving it so we both thought that cleaning the tank and running some Seafoam through it would get it back on the road. Well it will get through 1st and 2nd okay but after that it loads up and won't run. I don't think this is a carb problem since it will idle and rev fine through 1st and 2nd so does anyone know if this is an electircal problem or will I have to take off the carbs and go through them ?
