I do not post very often , I had to get in on this one . our gas prices are just on a bit of a downward slide right now , LOL , see our gas prices go up just before every holiday . Yup you heard that right , we are told that gas will be in a higher demand so there for they have to put the price up ?????? Does not make sense to me either . We were around $0.98 per liter (3.75liter-USgal ) then just before our long week end it jumped to $1.16 per liter , I think I saw it yesterday at $1.10 , going down slowly . They throw the price up 2 days before a holiday and then it takes a good 2 weeks for it to come back down . Quite often it does not go all the way back to where it was . Any way that's my 14 cents worth . LOL

what is a fair price to pay for a v-max diff ???? are there any years that are better than others , to put into my 2002 venture ??? what should I be looking for ???

As far as I know the RSTD is stock , it only had 3200km on it when I got it , still looked brand new , the venture I have raised the back end , tires are all stock sizes ,

I am sure this has been gone over a few times in here , but I am starting it again , sorry . I have been riding a 2002 RSMV that I picked up wrecked , it was flipped quite bad . Fixed it up with a used triple tree and a bunch of plastic and chrome . It had 29,000km on it when I picked it up , we rode it to Galena a couple years ago . Now it has 64,000km on it , but not from this year , this year I have been riding a 2009 RSTD'S , I picked it up wrecked as well , but this one was just a lay over , replaced plastic and chrome . Any way , my questions are , if these bikes are so much the same , then how can they be so different ???? The tour deluxe will walk all over the Venture , 5th gear on the Venture at highway speed it will just lug along , where the tour deluxe will get up and go ???? Handling , now that's another deal , around town the tour deluxe is GREAT , the Venture , WOW , scary , every corner on the Venture is an adventure , LOL , it seems like the Venture wants to lay down every time I lean into it , the tour deluxe just leans over and goes . So , how different are these bikes ???

I made mine , just picked up some stainless from a body shop , cut to fit and stuck it on . All body shops have some stainless kits left over from replacing parts of them

I have been putting some miles on the new to me ride , 2009 , RSTD, it had 3200km on it when I got it . I put a different pair of mufflers on that have had several big holes punched in the ends , so it is rather loud . Every one says it sounds more like a hot rod than a bike , they all seem to like it as well . There is quite a pop most every time I shift from first to second , and does back fire quite often . My question is , does this hurt the motor ?? There have been no other changes . Oh ya , I do not ride fast , but I do like to kick it in the a?? a lot , I hit the ref limiter a lot . How any of you have tried this with the factory mufflers ?? I really like the sound , just do not want it to cost me a motor .

I did check the dates on the tires as well when I called , the german made was 4113 and the brazil one was 1115 , so they should be fine . Just all the stories a guy hears ,,LOL Any way thanks for the in but , Ride safe

First of all I have to say sorry for bringing it up . I have seen quite a few threats on here about tires , LOL , any way , I heard some bad things about Metzler tires that are made in Brazil , compared to the ones made in Germany . Has any one here experienced this . As stated before I am heading to Bute Montana for Evil Knevil days next week , so I booked in for new tires in Great Falls , thinking that they would be much cheaper than here , WRONG , LOL , almost more there than here ,,, any way I called down there today and they have the tires , front one is made in Germany and the rear in brazil ,, they are the 880's ... Any words of wisdom out there ??????

Sounds like there are a few of you that are planning to replace your wind shield for a fairing . So just to put it out there I am looking for a windshield for my RSTD If any of you know about how much you would want for your wind shield could you let me know . Thanks for now Steve

Looking to replace the rear seat on my 2009 RSTD with a rack of some kind . Has any one done this ??? What did you use and where did you find it ????

I picked up a 2002 RSMV in 2012 with 29,000km for $1000.00 had to fix it a bit ,,, just picked up a 2009 RSTD with 3,200km for $1700.00 , should be on it by spring ...

I am in need of some parts for a 2009 RSTD , I need a wind shield ( complete ) and a complete headlight assembly . If any one would have these just sitting around LOL I would be interested , or know where to look for them . thanks for now , I have been checking all the E bay sites already
