Yrs are doing their thing to me too Steve but get taken by a Sportster??Something wrong somewhere. And I know I saw 120mph as I shifted to 4th on my 84 and rpms were somewhere above 8000 I'm pretty sure. Wasn't looking for numbers that day just listening to that 1200 sing!!Those that want to call me a liar need to grow a set of balls and I don't give a Rats behind what their numbers say.

Skid is right!! Diaphragms are probally the biggest cause of Get up and go being gone when they start getting old. Check them in dark room with good light. Any light at all is power you are loosing. Several ways to patch them but for Max performance it will take new ones.

I would dump a whole can in it. Gives it a good cleaning and then use a few oz every other tank or so to keep it that way. I have used a whole can to less than 1/4 tank on something that was showing signs of crud in there. Works Great!!

Use Deep Creep. Some of these cleaners are not too easy on some parts in there. I use Marvel Mystery Oil for maint now. A lot cheaper and you can use it in every tank if you want without breaking the bank. If it starts acting up I add some Sea-Foam to the mix. But Sea-Foam is pricing itself out of my market. I feel they are selling name more than product....BerryMans Chem Tech is a good one at less than 1/2 the price but it is a little harsher. I don't like to use it regularly.

I know what he was saying Doug but I've heard so much CRAP about these things can't do 110 mph in 3rd gear!! BULL!! Climb on and find out but bring your balls with you!!! And while I'm at it 120 mph in 3rd!! At 7500 to 8500 rpms. I saw 120 when I shifted to 4th. Ran out of numbers that time not long after hitting 5th. I will be the 1st to admit that I don't ride as I did before I got busted up but hard riding had nothing to do with it. I do know what these things will do. And have one in the stable now that will shock some folks.......

How many miles and when were valves done? When I get one I do a Sea-Foam soak on it. But if it is running good just run a couple tanks about double what it calls for.
