  1. I heard mention of a new Venture model in a previous topic but am unsure if they were joking or not. I did google New Yamaha Venture but found nothing. Or, is it still dead? craigr
  2. Well, for now anyways, I've decided to go with a head mount for the camera, (not the helmet mount). This brings up another question.... We are looking to buy extra MicroSD memory chips. We found 64gb microSDHC and MicroSDXC. What is the difference between them? - The HC version is cheaper. craigr
  3. Unless it is COOOLD, we seldom where helmets. So, a Helmet mount isn't practical for us. But, I did think about trying to adapt one of my Headlamp harnesses that I use for fishing. As I type this, I'm thinking I should check out their site, they may already have this available. Great tip about the short arm to keep down vibration, I wouldn't of thought of that. Thanks
  4. My wife got us a new 'GoPro Hero' for Christmas for our 07 Venture Trike. Of course, there is no handlebar mount included. But, mine are full anyways. I don't want it beyond the windshield anyways, do I? I have the 3 pouch above the dashboard, so that space is taken. I have to believe someone on this board has the answer(s) as to what is the best place to mount it. craigr

I have the Blue/black version of this. Though I do like mine, I sure like this red/black better.such a pretty trike!craigr
  6. I bout the cable from Wally World to plug my Cell Phone to the Aux Input by the tape deck. i plugged her in and set the stereo to Aux and started Pandora on my Cell. No Sound. is there something else I need to do?
  7. I had forgotten that I posted about this. I finally found a use for it. I needed to fix a pare of glasses to get me thru the weekend. It did hold, kinda. I had to make several RE-repairs, and it ended up simply getting a bunch of Glue built up around the arm. I will not recommend this Product.
  8. I had hip Surgery last at the beginning of October last year. Because of this I mist our 'Fall Rides' which we very much look forward to every year. Because of this surgery, I was given strict instructions from my doc to stay off our Trike, which I did, kinda. Come this past January, we had a very nice day so the and I snuck out for a one hour ride. Well, that surgery didn't take care of the hip problems, so I had it replaced March 24th. - We have had GREAT Spring weather, of course. I have been joking with friends that they can thank ME for the good weather because if I could ride, we would have horrible Spring weather. After a good week of WONDEFUL weather and starting to feel much better, I thought I might sneak out on the Trike tomorrow for another on hour ride. Well, it has been spitting off and on all day today and is supposed to be the same way tomorrow! I NEED to ride! Not only have wife and I seen many bikes out lately, but we have friends and family teasing us with 'Boy there sure are an awful lot of bikes out today' and 'Does it bother you to see all of the Bikes out when you can't ride?' All joking aside..... My next Doc appointment is this coming Thursday, I sure hope he releases me to ride the Trike! But, I'm guessing the Doc won't due to still being on pain meds. This past few months with the Hip surgeries have been pretty rough not riding. I doubt non-riders can understand how much we riders NEED to ride. I keep saying that I need 'Bike Therapy'. craigr
  9. I guess I shouldnt of posted it here. I ride both a Kaw and my Venture. The group I ride with tease me for riding 'a rice grinder' or ' a HD wanna be' or 'an imitation HD', etc.... And I tease the about their HDs with the HD jokes I've heard thru the years. - there are no 'thin skins', we don't get defensive about it. - They are just Machines, not our children. One last time, I apologize for pushing anyone's buttons. Honestly, if I saw one about any other make, I would find it amusing also.
  10. C'mon folks, I didn't post it to start an argument, I thought it was funny. I meant it for a laugh. AND, yes I posted it to my HD friends also. i apologize if I angered someone.
  11. Probably the best HD ad I have seen.
  12. Well, it arrived. But, I don't have anything to 'fix' right now. At what it costs, I won't be using it just for a review. BUT, if I can think of something to use it on, I will surely give my opinion. I just now showed my wife and told her to let me know if she comes up with something to fix. craigr
  13. I just now ordered it from Amazon. we will see..... craigr
  14. I have Black Leather Lyke Bags on my 99 Kaw Vulcan Classic that are pretty faded. I have used Armourall on them for a few years to bring the Black back, but even that doesn't work for long anymore. i thought about simply painting the Black, but I don't know how to sand them because the surface isn't smooth - it is VERY grainy, ( I guess that is what it is supposed to be ). Have any of you had any experience with this?
  15. I guess I won't be getting one of those! $165 was the cheapest I found on EBay. That is just Nuts. I figured $25 or $30 tops.
  16. Yes, I am going to have to buy me one of those!
  17. Well, after zooming in on the Pic, I think it WAS the V-Roooom. It seems to me that after some use, the Red Switch wouldn't stay up and we would have to hold it up to make the sound - making it a two-handed task. I may have to order one then figure out a way to mount it to my Trike!
  18. Nopers - That isn't it. Dog-gone-it, I also posted this to my Facebook page and no one there can remember it either. I can't believe that I am the only one that remembers this. This will bug me until someone else remembers it.
  19. Simply for fun..... When I was very young, I'm thinking back in the mid-60s or so, there was some kind of noise maker that mounted to our Bicycles that had a lever that you 'wound up' or 'pumped up' to make it sound like your bike had an engine. If memory serves me right, I am picturing something mounting on the cross bar of a boys bike and there was a yellow lever that we would pull back towards the banana seat. The faster you pulled the lever the louder it got and the longer it lasted. I don't have a clue what to search for on Ebay. Hey, maybe I need one for my Trike! craigr
  20. If you are able to come up with something different, I am very anxious to see it. Someone on my Trike Forum DID redesign their Fairing and it looks pretty cool. If I remember right, it was on a Goldwing Trike. I used to do Fiberglass on Semi Trucks and Boats, so I could do it in Fiberglass, but I know nothing about this ABS. Please keep us up to date on your Progress. Pics would be nice also. craigr
