Is it normal for the kick stand to be very stiff to put down? My new to me 07 rsv is replacing mt 09 750 shadow. My shadow kickstand was very easy to use but most of the time i have to stand on my right leg and really push down and out on the rsv's. Is there an easy and safe adjustment i can do to make it easier?

I popped open the door that reveals the amazing cassette player. But no matter how hard I press or how I press I cant seem to get it to relatch. The door sure looks a lot more attractive than seeing the ancient cassette player all the time. Could I just shoot wd40 around the door or will that mess something up, especially the paint?

Does your lights flash also? Sometimes after i hit several good dips it will kick it off but when trying to rengage both lights flash.

Just got my 07 rsv. Coming from a 09 shadow Im new to the touring world. Whats the differnce between the differnt trims such as midnight and tour deluxe and plain venture?

Thanks for this thread. I just got my 07 rsv and had pretty much same questions and thoughts. I would love to take advantage of the built in features of the IC and CB. Does anybody have a link to a good but affordable 3/4 face headset for this bike, google searches are either not coming up w what i need or im too much of a newbie to know if it works. Once i get a headset, is it permanently mounted? I commute w my bike and i dont want to have a mic in front of me unless im riding in groups and/or w the wife. A system that can be quickly dismounted would be preferred. Do they make an adapter to plug your phone in via aux cable (or even bt) so u can still use the phone while still wired to the bike?
