  1. Bumping this. Setup working great, but that hearing my own voice over a phone call and the CB is annoying. Anyone have any luck eliminating it?
  2. I have an SV with a Sena Freewire setup and I know that on mine, there is a bit of a delay, i.e., I have to depress the button for almost a second before it actuates. Don't know if this is the same as your issue or not.
  3. I know this may do you no good, but I have a Galaxy S8 (Android), and have no issues, so your assumption may be correct, it may be a bad antenna or some other issue, not necessarily related to Android. I would try to pair a different phone, or even an iPhone (I hate even typing that), and see if the problem remains the same. Should at least narrow it down some.
  4. I'm having the exact same issue, sidetone is off.
  5. Took your advice, went into settings, and ensured sidetone is in fact off. It is, same echo of my own voice on phone calls.
  6. Having the same issue, although I don't know how to separately connect them, so I suppose I will have to live with it. (Sidetone is off).
  7. That's what I though, don't need the mesh, going with the 20K, thanks for the reply
  8. Can anyone provide preference between the Sena 20s vs the 30k? I don't need the large group capability the 30k seems to be able to provide, but was wondering if there were any other noticeable advantages to a 30k vs the 20s.
  9. Got the same credit card usb in the mail. Thought it was useless at first, and had no idea what it was until I inadvertently popped open and folded out the thing that connects to the cable. I'm an IT guy and have never seen one of these, so suffice it to say I was pretty surprised.....
  10. I did not receive a thumb drive when I bought mine, but I did receive one from Yamaha in the mail. It is actually pretty cool, it looks just like a credit card, fits in your wallet. Thought it was an activation doo dad at first, the thingy that gets inserted into the usb receptacle is hidden, and folds out from the card. First I've ever seen like that. I'll post a pic when I'm home.
  11. I would be careful with the towing. Saw some other posts around with folks looking for hitches and stuff. Digging through the manual, it specifically states that this bike is not engineered for towing anything, and is probably not encouraged, especially warranty wise. Just putting that out there....
  12. So based on the input I got here, I went with this: ( https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00I4J35HY/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o08_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 ), but can't decide on where I want or should splice it in. I'm very hesitant to make mods this early in the game, and just want to do it right the first time. My dealer says there are no warranty issues with this, but was hoping to draw from the experience of the group here before I dove in. Thanks for your time!! John
  13. I had posted this elsewhere and forgot, please delete, I'll repost there. Thanks, John
  14. Well that seems pretty easy, thanks! I'm going to grab one. Do you mind sharing how yours is hooked up?
  15. I know there are threads in other areas, but has anyone modded their SVTC with flashing LED brake lights? I ride with large groups regularly, and the difference between the Harley's I've seen with them next to other bikes without is very real. Was just wondering if somebody had already done the research and the work. Thanks in advance for any ideas.
  16. Do you have a link for those pegs? I kind of like that. Looks like just enough stretch room. Thanks!
  17. I'm about to pull the trigger and go with the Sena solution. There is a lot of good info in here, but I just wanted a good part list for what I need to get in order to be up and running. I understand I need the adapter (https://www.amazon.com/Sena-FreeWire-Bluetooth-Motorcycle-Communication/dp/B01M2CCJ8D/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1532435009&sr=8-1&keywords=sena+freewire), I think this cable? (https://www.sierra-mc.com/proddetail.asp?prod=SIE-SNA-HD-SMH10), and a Bluetooth headset. I guess my question would be is this the equipment I need? If not what am I missing? Also, anyone have a recommendation for a good quality headset/mic setup? Thanks in advance, John
  18. Don't want to get too far off topic, as I am considering the lowers, but am interested in a consensus on the preferred highway pegs for the SVTC. I like the boards so far, but with the fog lamps, it's pretty crowded and thought that pegs would maybe be a non starter.
  19. Thanks, but I did see it, just wanted to respond in this thread with the link in case others didn't.
  20. It is in fact out now, just checked. Good size download. Clear instructions at link.
  21. New 2018 SVTC owner here. One thing I did not know before it was pointed out to me was the air vents located in front of the shifter and brake. If it seems ugly hot, open these vents, because that made a world of difference for me.
