Ok, when I was 14, I worked nites at Ennis hammer factory, grinding the tits off cast iron hammers. The hammer heads were cast in trees of 10 or so, you knocked the heads off the tree and it left a little tit, they rolled a 55 gal drum of heads up to your rite side and an empty drum on your left. Pulled a head out of rite, ground tit off on huge belt grinder and thru finished hammer in empty barrel. End of shift they weighed the barrel and you were payed pc rate. Yeah those were the good ole days, it really wasnt quite as glamorous as it sounds.

When I was a kid I looked out my bedroom window onto the Reading RailRoad Outer Station across from the "Swinging Bridge" it was always a thrill when an old steam locomotive came in. Steam and smoke everywhere.
Great memories, Thanks!

I always liked the looks of a trike, even when I was much younger I liked them. I stumbled across a deal to good to pass up so I rented a car, drove to Ohio and rode it home, learned alot in the 500plus mile trip home. Planned on flipping it in the spring, but the more I rode it the more I liked it. Hard to beat the stability, extra storage and peace of mind of a trike. I have the Hannigan 07 and the blue and chrome looks awesome IMHO. Never quite understood the "old man" mentality that keeps some guys from riding one, but hey, to each his own.

Sorry for your loss, your Dad must have done a very good job in raising you. It was evident in the way you and your wife helped him these last years. I am sure you have lots of great memories to help you during this difficult time. All the best to you and your family.

Not much info on the Ruger Craig, but I did find this on Gun Auction... Seems a bit low, but with the advent of the 5.56/223 the popularity of the 222 Rem has faded. I have a 222 Rem in a Remington Model 7 that generally sells in the $600-$650 range... I don't think there's much merit in a Cartech Anniversary unless you work for the company?? However... Ruger is a caliber whore. Collecting Rugers will drive you nutz! I went thru 6 or 7 pages of different 77 models and couldn't find any listing for one in 222R.. 223..yep. 222..nada..... I did see a few older models in 22 Hornet?? Hope this helps...
Thanks for the info Jack, I doubt I will ever sell the rifle, will probably leave it to my Grandson. Ruger also produced a 357 Mag. revolver for Cartech, mite have to see if I can find one of those to complete the set.
Thanks again, Craig

Sorry hate to hijack a thread, but while we are on the subject. I recently inherited a 222 Ruger Rifle, Cartech Annv. special. never fired in all original packaging. From what I understand Cartech produced the SS alloy used to make Ruger firearms. Cartech commisioned them to make this anniv. edition rifle. It has beautiful engraving in the SS. Any info/value on this rifle Jack? you seem to know your guns.

I put one on a leased GMC Sierra, ran it for 3 years, took it off and put it on the next Sierra I leased, 3 more years and still looks like new. Truck is outside all the time and goes thru the carwash at least twice a month. When I bought it it came with a 5yr warranty and it outlived the warranty with zero issues. I do push anything over 6" of snow off with a push broom. Great product.

I always hate to hear of a crash, but as others have said, glad you were able to walk away from it. Hope you get a fair deal from the ins co, because it looks like you had a really nice 1st gen.
All the best, Craig

Beautiful site, I definetly need to camp there someday. Seems like all the campgrounds around here are like being parked at a drive-in movie.

Hang in there Bob, they are doing amazing things in the treatments for cancer. Find an Oncologist/ Hematologist you really like cause you are going to be spending alot of time with him/her. Call if you ever want to talk about anything.

Congrats, I am sure it feels great to finally get recognized for your abilities. I would keep doing exactly what you have been doing, it got you into the job, I bet it will keep you there. Wouldnt spend a whole lot of time worrying about something that may never happen, just enjoy it for what it is.
All the best, Craig

Really sorry to hear about this Ron, but glad you two were not seriously hurt. Hopefully you both heal up quickly, that roadrash can be pretty painful depending how bad it is. From past experience white cotton button down shirts about 2 sizes too big mite be most comfortable for awhile.

Yea I difinatly feel your pain. I'm 5'6" with a 25" inseam. I'm built like a giant midget. After I dropped it I almost thought I made a big mistake by getting a bike this big. But then I remembered seeing people as short if not shorter on much bigger bikes. If they can do it then so can I. I just got to get used to it and know what my limitations are. Sucks I had to find out the hard way. At least just some cracked plastic scratched chrome and a humbled ego is all and not worse.
You can lower the front by moving the fork tubes up in the trees, then look around for a used Corbin seat. After those 2 mods bet you can flatfoot. If you want to get even lower you can have the Corbin re-worked.

Hey now you got me thinking... I was really into model building when I was a kid long ago. Forgot all about them till I saw your pics, have been looking for a hobby and mite just start building them again. Camaro looks great!
Thanks, Craig

They are BIG and when they start to go, you aint gonna stop them. Best way to keep the shiney side up is to avoid any situation that may get you into trouble. Real careful on gravel, real careful on steep driveways, ramps where your feet dont touch the ground and lots more. This coming from a guy thats 5'5" and had both a first and second gen. You can save alot of money on parts if you think ahead.
