    Vapor locked

Ok I check the vent tube and blew thru it. So I know it's open now. The orifice in the elbow is very small. Do I need to check it and if so how? Also where is this roll over valve located? Is it in the vent tube?

  4. That has always been my best advise. Regardless of whether they look at you or not, never pass through any intersection, pass by a drive way, or any shopping plaza where you see another car about to pull out. Always assume that they are going to pull out. I always try not to pass by them at my regular speed and get ready for them to pull out. Although, there is always circumstances that you are not able to control, but where you can see them, you can react accordingly. My philosophy whether I'm riding or driving.

    Rain anyone?

He is, I talked to him right after I got home around 5:30. He final wore out and tucked in a motel to get some rest. And to dry off
  6. Hey Earl, them last two pics of the Harleys looks like they come with an air ride system so they can be lowered. Can't get much lower than them. Just not sure how you can see over that front tire.
  7. Rain anyone?

I got home around 5 pm. The first two hours was dry then the flood gates opened. I hit a break from Wytheville to Beckley then it was miserable the rest of the way home.

    Vapor locked

Just checked the tank again after running out a half tank. Still sucking air. How hard is the cap to take apart and put back together?
  11. Yes, it was great to see you all as well. Thanks for visiting.
  12. Well everything was going good till I got down to two bars showing on the gas gauge and felt the engine start to sputter. I switch over to reserve and nothing. It died. I stopped along I-77 and luckily a DOT man stopped to help. He called road service and brought me two gallons of gas. When I opened the gas cap it sucked air for what seemed for ever. After that it started, but I still got two gallons of gas I had already signed for. My lucky day. Anyone have problems with vapor locks?
  13. Some days aren't as much fun riding as other days are. http://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/05/15/4y2a2ete.jpg
  14. Do you all have pics of how your looks and with what clamp you used?
  15. Same here. A cruise is something I had on my bucket list and since I just retired, I decided to go for it. I even let the wife join me, and the three kids. We all had a blast and I'm sure it won't be our last.
  16. I'm hoping to try a set of RK that I have, but haven't figured out how to get rid of the gap between the clamps and stock exhaust yet.

  22. And we are just a few hours form pulling out and heading south to smell the salt. I am excited to be with close friends during this ride that I know will have my back. Hope to hit the road by 7 am... I'll keep you posted as I travel...
  23. I just want to say thank you to each and everyone one praying for me. I read these posts daily and really appreciate the time that Yammer, Cowpuc, and others for stopping by to let me know they are still praying. I still got a long ways to go and I keep in the back of my mind that everything can change in one doctor appointment. Right now my blood work and other levels are good. My next CT scan if May 22 and I'll meet with my doctor on May 28 to find out the results. At this point I will have been on this chemo pill for four months, and continuing lots of prayer that the tumor has reduced another 50%. They take a lot of time to keep this thread going actively. I feel there is a lot of power in prayer. so keep it everyone. I love you all and really appreciate your postings.
  24. I did check for a mute button, but didn't think to look for the volume. I'm just glad it was an easy fix, and made the best of it by cleaning under the rear seat.
  25. Thanks Patti, I'll have to keep that one till I grow my own..
