  1. Just had to replace mine. Bill
  2. Everything on my sound system goes through the auxiliary input. I have a multi port booster that my GPS, XM, and my Bluetooth plugs into. I can now listen to my XM radio, hear GPS instructions, talk on my cell phone, and now listen to my iPod through my headsets. And my CB and intercom all still work perfect. Only thing that doesn't work is my am-fm radio and cassette, which I never listen to anyway. Bill
  3. Installed my new Bluetooth unit today. Works great. https://www.ebay.com/itm/272253475693 Bill
  4. Or you could do this with no alterations required. https://www.ebay.com/itm/282029518000 Bill

  6. I talked to Buddy Rich, he's not making anymore cables. But you can get the Edsets and it dose the same thing. I have my GPS, XM radio, and Bluetooth working through aux input and can hear everything. You will need a multi port auxiliary input booster to make this work.
  7. I have a Garmin GPS on mine that has Bluetooth phone capabilities. I bought the Edsets mike cord, http://www.edsets.com/microphone_signal_splitter.php, Use a multi input 3.5mm sound booster, http://www.electric-avenues.com/amplirider.html, and a Bluetooth adapter,https://www.ebay.com/itm/272253475693. Also have my XM radio hooked up. Now I can talk on the phone, listen to GPS instructions, listen to XM radio, or stream Bluetooth music all through my headsets or speakers. Bill
  8. Thanks guys. I found 2 99's an 06 and an 08. Mines an 01 think I will get the 06.
  9. I think they are, but are the CB's the same 99-2014? thanks Bill
  10. Yes it does. When you open the link, at the top enter your bikes info. Mine is an 01 and it says yes.
  11. Thinking about these. Anybody done it? https://www.ebay.com/ulk/itm/281993924555
  12. Took the rear seat off, plug was about half unplugged. Cleaned connection, treated with Deoxit, put all back together, wrapped in electrical tape, and Voila it works!!! Thanks guys. Bill
  13. Thanks guys. I changed antennas. Will pull rear seat and check the connection tomorrow.
  14. So the CB is wired for the left side? That means it was trying to talk through my radio antenna? The guy I bought it from said he never used the CB. My group does, and I've had nothing but trouble with it. I was mentioned the connection under the rear seat and trunk area need cleaning. Bill
  15. Having a problem with my CB. When I turn it on I get a cberr and it turns off. Done a lot of searching here and it seems to be clean the connections. Took faring apart cleaned all connectors, no change. Do more reading, and it seems the CB is under the trunk. Ok I need to take it apart and clean connections. But while reading, I saw several mentions about the CB antenna being on the left side, not right. Mine is on the right. My question is what difference would that make? Do I need to move them? Move the wiring too? Sorry to ask, just don't see why it matters. thanks Bill
  16. Not uncommon for a clutch to stick after sitting for long periods of time.
  17. What about these? Bill https://www.ebay.com/ulk/itm/281993924555
  18. Well they may work, but have to remove inner faring to remove old mounts and reroute cables. Just not gonna do that. Bill
  19. Well guys, in my life I've ridden close to a million miles on motorcycles. My Dad and I owned a Honda dealership for years, so I've ridden and worked on everything you can name, probably several you can't, I've never saw this happen, never heard of this happening. Just wanted folks to be aware. I've cleaned thousands of carburetors and break master cylinders, never thought of a guitar string. Fantastic idea. Even us old dogs still learn new tricks. Bill
  20. Oops forgot the link. https://www.ebay.com/ulk/itm/171182417001 Bill
  21. I bought these, but have to remove the inner faring to get the old one off and reroute the cables. Bigger job than I wanted to do. Bill
  22. Got it. Thanks guys. larry1963, on the one above, you select your states, right click and save to folder, then upload to where ever. Bill
  23. Thanks guys. Probably the most scared I've ever been while riding. My bleed hole is bigger now. Made sure of that. Bill
  24. Notice some of you have a us map in your signature where you select states you've been to. Where do you find that? Bill
  25. Riding my RSV last week. Cruising along around 70mph. All of a sudden, the bike went to slowing down. I gave it more throttle, the bike responded, but started breaking even harder. By this time, the front end was in a dive, and I notice the front break smoking. Started heading for the shoulder. Barely got there, then the front wheel locked up. Don't know how, but got her stopped without crashing. Got off and looked at front rotors. Both are red hot, front wheel locked solid. Removed the caliper bolts, took a lot of prying, but got the right caliper off, then the left. Both calipers closed instantly locking the pads in place, but now the bike will roll. Tied both calipers up with wire ties to get home. Could not remove the pads, so I removed the hydraulic line from the master cylinder. Fluid sprayed everywhere under great pressure. Both calipers relaxed and was then able to remove the pads. Took the master cylinder off, took it apart and found the pressure relief hole clogged with something. What I don't know. The fluid was crystal clear. Couldn't blow it out with air compressor or nothing. Found a small wire on my wire brush, and gouged it out. I never saw it, don't know what it was. Flushed everything, installed new pads and fluid, bled the system. Works great. Rotors are not warped so I'm gonna leave them. this was the wildest ride I've ever had, probably the scariest thing ever happened. I've ridden almost 60 years, been certified Honda Tech since 1976, and never even heard of anything like this. Just thought I would let everyone know. Bill
