  1. All 4 of those are the same wing located in different places. Might be fun to mess with the scammer, I am betting they are all 4 the same scammer.

Yea those ads all have scammer written all over them, And all by the same dude too. Run Yammer and don't look back pal. Keep looking, you'll find one you'll like.

  2. "So, if your compressor was running continuously, it could have gotten really hot"

Ya it did. Hot enough it had to cool off a long time. If I remember it sat overnight before taking it apart then filled the block with a light oil to soak the bearings. Later by slowly working the pulley back and forth I finally got it freed up. But as stated above damage was done.

  3. Husky brand 60 gallon up right 2 hp from Home Depot. Regular oil changes about every other year depending on how much run time. Couple years ago I forgot to turn it off. Had an air leaking hose so it overheated , temporarily sized up then belt burned up. Worked on the pump and got it freed and running again, but the damage was done so it was only a matter of time till I get what I have now.

Since that time I shut off the motor and closed the main air valve before leaving the garage.

Sky I hear ya on Craftsman tools.

Wish it was that easy Yammer. That Murphy guy is just too sneaky.

  4. March hasn't been kind to me so far. At the beginning of the month my eclectic motor on my band saw let all the smoke out requiring a $160 replacement. I did get 8 or 10 years of faithful service from it thou.

This weekend my upright air compressor sounded it's death knell with a rather loud bang. The air pump had given me a few problems in the last couple of years but was able to nurse it back into service. Not gonna happen this time thou. This unit has given me 16 years of sometimes hard use so can't complain too much here either. This'll cost me $225 for it's replacement.

Sure hope old man Murphy is done pestering me now cause it's annoying and costly too.

  5. Don the F-4 windshields are the way to go. I'm actually on my 3rd windshield. First I had the oem shield, which is taller than your base model shield I think. Then went to a +3 F-4 tint. It was fine for Joyce but I would get just enough wind turbulence to be annoying when wearing a helmet. I now have the +5 tinted and love it. I did add a set of Baker Wings to draw in more air when needed.

Yea even with that +5 shield I'm staying home till temps hit the mid 40's, preferably 50+.

  6. Welcome to the Slingshot world Don & Eileen. I knew 2 years ago you loved taking mine for a spin at MD. You'll have a blast cruising in comfort now. Oh ya let the accessorizing begin. I'll catch up with you guys sometime down the road.

  7. Hopefully you figured this now. Yes you need to drill thru the foot rest brackets. Also you can do the drilling while still attached but they need to be loosened from the frame just the same. Good luck & if you need anything give me a heads up.

  8. Is Carbon One still around?

I have sent him a couple of emails with no reply.

    Worried something may have happened.

Still alive and kicking. Been busy here at home. What email name did you use? Dates mail sent? I'll wade back thru my emails to see if/where I overlooked you.

  9. I don't know @Condor ... Sounds to me like you just need a bigger garage

I'm about as guilty as many here have noted with their list of too much stuff. I increased my garages size by a third a number of years ago then about 5 years ago added another extension effectively doubling the original garages size. Guess what? It's still not big enough for what I'd prefer it to be size wise. But ordnances says nope I've run out of space on my lot, so I'll just have to continue on at my present state.

  10. Geeze!! What happened to Ft Collins and Cody???????

Both great locations with over 100 attendee's at Fort Collins. While Cody was awesome it was smaller. Would love to go west again but these rallies still need to have someone willing to spearhead and organize them. The same thing with even the regionals that have been posted throughout the year.
