    so yesterday I was in a mood to tinker, replaced fuse block,installed resistor for new gel battery,dyna beads for front tire that shimmied. all is good now!

    I have a 84 with the same problem. how much dyna beads did you use, front tire is 120-90-18 65H thanks

    took mine apart to clean and noticed when i put it back together two of the carb joints seemed to be longer.did'nt pay attention when i took it apart. but made sure all the joints was turned inward when i re-installed. tall ones in front? in back? i dont know. thanks.

    got me a purolator pro one L25288 today and it works just fine. i'm gonna like this set up. now to find a chrome cover. thanks to all!

    plenty of thread left on adapter,thread on filter has a stop. won't let it turn all the way thru.

    just bought a mobile 1.m1-206. the thing is it bottoms out before it gets to the adapter plate by a quater inch or so. seems like the threads stop on the filter.i printed a list of alternatives. btw i got the adapter on ebay.

    i just got one too for my 84. i see where some of the other filters that fit it have check valves. would it matter one way or another?

    i use a can that stuff you use to blow off your computer key board to clean out the plug wells. since i don't have a compressor.

    and the winner is............... stroker ace! yep it's a headlight modulator, but it don't work. maybe check it out one day and see what's up with it. thanks

    just down under the speedo/ tach housing is a box with a tiny toggle switch and a light which is not lit. what is it for? thanks.

    i know, i know, done a search on this and found a lot different opinions. my 84 whines the loudest @55mph, gets quieter around 60mph,complety stops when i pull in the clutch on the highway.according to the po's service records the transmission was rebuilt at 46,751 miles it now has 53,384. any ideas? thanks in advance!

    i love sweet tea so a cup holder is in order and a cigarette lighter.the lighter seems pretty much striaght foward. just got to figure out a place to put it. as far as the cup holder fab one or buy one? i can't wait till i'm riding the parkway sipping sweet tea. actually i need two one for tea and one for my butts. never throw down a lit cigarette!

    yeah i used my imaganation yesterday on my little ride. got shinko's on my xj ,two years old and wearing good. of course that's a lighter bike. shinko's it is for now. thanks.

    would the shinko 230 be a decent tire? cant afford eIIIs right now btw the tires on the bike are 19 years old! dont look too bad cracked a little between the tread i know, i know got to get new ones lol. po put looks like lithium grease on the sidewalls preserved them at least no cracks anyway BUT they are old, thanks!

    took the old girl out for a 60 mile spin,seems to be running fine. i wished i had bought one of these years ago. enjoyed the quiteness,the radio,the ride,the comfort,i see why people are attracted to these bikes.the only problem i had was the turn signals only worked half the time, so i got that to fix don't think it's anything major. thanks again.
