star4772 Posted August 24, 2008 Share #1 Posted August 24, 2008 Has anyone here tried out the Maxxis.com touring tires for the RSV. They look to have a good tread design and strong sidewall and weight capacity. Just looking for info looking to get new tread. Joe

flb_78 Posted August 24, 2008 Share #4 Posted August 24, 2008 Ive ran Maxis tires on my ole XJ1100, they ran good, but it is a light bike. I know a fella who ran the Maxis on his RoadKing and it wore out rather quickly. Both of these were 130/90-16 tires though.

pegscraper Posted August 25, 2008 Share #7 Posted August 25, 2008 A local friend of mine uses them on an RSTD. He likes the ride and handling well enough. But he only gets about 7000 miles out of them. He put a new set on last spring, then took off on a trip through the west side of the country and back. Now he needs a new set already. Quite a good racket that motorcycle tire manufacturers have going for themselves here.
