Jim,

When I sold my Road Star I used the price guide for the bare bones bike value and added 1/2 of the new value of the accessories. Then I found a guy who thought that was fair.

I believe that is fair Gary and that is kinda what I have been leaning towards here...my only objection was to post all that had been done and have that ignored completely. I've been around to know that the value is always in the eye of the beholder...but I know also that fair is fair and there will always be those who will look under the rock for a bargain...and that is fine also.

This is a very difficult decision here for me regarding this bike and I just hope I make the right one...we grow attached to our rides and they become a part of us which does make it hard to let go.

later...

Well...this has been a real tough decision...but I have posted my bike for sale in the classifieds. Hope someone close by wants to buy...they can come and kick the tires so to speak.

So...have you set a price? and if I may ask..why are you selling.

I only ask because it sounds as though you have a dream bike (for me anyway)

I've been unemployed for almost a year...currently working part time...two bikes right now do not make a lot of sense for a number of reasons but basically I can only ride one at a time...and the wife prefers the Goldwing over the Venture. Absolutely nothing wrong with the bike...the performace and other mods made to it put it above and beyond stock bikes. Price is posted ($12,000) along with how I determined the price.
