Please help!!!

Bike was running great and now.  …. Urgh puff of smoke / loud pop coming from single carb . Bike does not run. All electrics work . I have spark on all 4. If my Cdi was bad , I wouldn’t have spark, correct?

any help is appreciated.

Spray some starter fluid into the air cleaner intake and see if it starts. If so, its a fuel problem.

It couldn’t be this simple!! Positive battery wire was loose… really?? She fired right up! But….. tach is out. I did check #2 and it does have spark. Bike is back up and running though, will keep assessing on the tach.

Update! Bike is running amazingly well…    My shifting is good but a little stiff. Will need to assess!

Do an oil change with the correct viscosity. Dont use reg type oil, use diesel type or full synthetic.

The PO of my bike used SuperTech 20W-50 Full Synthetic Oil for years and I've continued using it (available at WalMart).  Shifts are smooth.

You might also check your linkage to make sure it moves freely.
