So for now, the fuel pump on my bike is working fine.  What i'm thinking is to get a set of points for the pump in case of trouble.  Looking at K+L 18-4615 on Amazon.  The question I have is can they be changed out if I"m on a trip and it fails?  Do they require any soldering of leads or are they a quick change with with a few tools that can be done on the side of the road?

Cheers

I've heard a bit about this before.  Did u just remove the pump and join the inlet and outlet hoses together or reroute the supply line directly to the carbs?

I just used the fuel line segment that came from the petcock and looped it back into the fuel inlet at the back of the carbs.  Removed the rest of the fuel line and the pump.  When I get a chance, I'll take and post pictures.
