lomax Posted Friday at 07:30 PM #1 Posted Friday at 07:30 PM So for now, the fuel pump on my bike is working fine. What i'm thinking is to get a set of points for the pump in case of trouble. Looking at K+L 18-4615 on Amazon. The question I have is can they be changed out if I"m on a trip and it fails? Do they require any soldering of leads or are they a quick change with with a few tools that can be done on the side of the road? Cheers
BlueSky Posted Saturday at 02:28 AM #2 Posted Saturday at 02:28 AM Yes, you need to solder one connection. Watch this video.
RDawson Posted Saturday at 05:22 PM #3 Posted Saturday at 05:22 PM I inspect the points when I do my Spring service. If they’re showing wear I replace them.
