front forks

Recommended Posts

According to Parts Nation the actual fork leg bottoms and fork tubes are same same for both bikes:

O7 RSTD: https://www.yamahapartsnation.com/oemparts/a/yam/50045f49f8700209bc794d9a/front-fork

07 RSV (Venture): https://www.yamahapartsnation.com/oemparts/a/yam/50045f90f8700209bc794e7f/front-fork

But,, of course, the entire assembly shows different Pt numbers so I would say YES, you could swap out the forks themselves with no problem,,, according to the parts diagram..

Hope this helps..

My guess... Research the spring rates between the RSV & RSTD; the fairing handing on the front end may require heavier springs for the RSV. IF you were going to rebuild the forks anyways it might be as easy as swapping in some aftermarket heavier springs to freshen up the handling.
