Braking 70 vs 100mph.

This is an interesting observation of two identical vehicles making an emergency stop with going 70mph and 100mph. If the distance to stop the one going 70mph is compared to the car going 100mph, how fast would the 100mph vehicle still be going when it reaches that distance?

It makes you think about how fast we go.

Nice going, thanks for the thoughts. Now this doesn't even take into account the distance traveled while reaction is taking place, the red car could well cover half the distance while it reacts, which would put crash speed at much more than 71, and although the results may not make any difference in the livelihood of the occupants, it does bring to the foreground the increased stopping distance needed at higher speeds. An eye opener for sure!!!
