Top Venture Posted December 1, 2017 Share #1 Posted December 1, 2017 Wondering if anyone is using this oil filter. I read somewhere that they change them and they don't seal properly anymore? Thanks for the assistance. Keith
EtRider Posted December 1, 2017 Share #2 Posted December 1, 2017 I found this on an earlier post- look at the difference - there are newer filters out there that are convex(right) and not concave(left one) so the filters bottoms out before the seal contacts correctly. You have to watch out for this. Hope this helps

djh3 Posted December 4, 2017 Share #4 Posted December 4, 2017 I have switched over to WIX, because purolator changed design. I think the Mobil 1 filter and Bosch are still fine also. But since we got an Oreilys by the house WIX is a very good brand.
TDbiker Posted December 4, 2017 Share #5 Posted December 4, 2017 I tried a PL14612 this past summer (before I'd read here that the design had changed), and I did experience a slight oil leak where it didn't seal properly.
