Husker88 Posted March 17, 2015 Share #1 Posted March 17, 2015 (edited) My LCD Screen is blank. It has the backlight but no gas gauge, no gear indicators...nothing. How do I reset the LCD screen? Recently replaced Stator, Rectifier/Regulator... Thanks in advance! Edited March 17, 2015 by Husker88
Flyinfool Posted March 17, 2015 Share #2 Posted March 17, 2015 Check the ground wires to the instrument panel.
Husker88 Posted March 18, 2015 Author Share #3 Posted March 18, 2015 Check the ground wires to the instrument panel. I did, they're good. Clean and tight. The backlight works.....just not the gauges that show what gear I'm in, the fuel level and other things there... I'm frustrated as I know I found the "reset procedure" here before but I can't find that post. UGH!!!!!
paysaw Posted March 18, 2015 Share #4 Posted March 18, 2015 Check the schematic for you bike. You could either have a broken ground or a power wire.Do both half's of the control LED not working?
Husker88 Posted August 27, 2015 Author Share #5 Posted August 27, 2015 The whole LCD screen lights up but none of the "gauges" work... No fuel levels, gear position, nothing.
MiCarl Posted August 27, 2015 Share #6 Posted August 27, 2015 The backlight isn't part of the LCD. One of the instrument cluster lamps shines through it via a light pipe. You could have bad connection(s), bad fuse(s) or a bad display.
