By the time I got off the throttle it went off. Its and 06. Should I calle the dealer? ----Buzz
BuddyRich Posted March 16, 2008 Share #2 Posted March 16, 2008 Don't think so. If you took off kinda of fast it could just be low oil level. I found that mine will come on if I am gettin on it from first and second pretty good if I don't have the oil level all the way up to the top mark. pegscraper Posted March 16, 2008 Share #3 Posted March 16, 2008 If you take off fast enough, that oil light will come on even if it's not low. Check the oil level in the sight glass and if it's where it ought to be, then don't worry about it.
Squeeze Posted March 16, 2008 Share #4 Posted March 16, 2008 Common 'Problem' on the Vmaxxes. Mine lits up on almost every take off. Just check the Level, if it's fine, you are fine. If it's annoying you, on the next Oil change, dismount the Sender Unit and mount it back in with 180 Degrees turned. Now the Oil gets into the Sensors Boring from behind instead of stock front Inlet. As the Oil goes back in the Pan on Acceleration, it will stop flickering.
