etcswjoe Posted August 11, 2014 Share #2 Posted August 11, 2014 Don't think idle setting is your issue but there is an idle screw on the right side about 3/4 of the way back under the gas tank it is a knob with a screw head. I am curious when was the last time you synched the carbs?

midnightrider1300 Posted August 11, 2014 Author Share #6 Posted August 11, 2014 (edited) so far since I idled it to where it suppose to be... it's NOT popping(backfiring) like it was when idle was to low...I"ve rode in town, on the road speeding up and slowing down trying to get it to backfire....it wont.... time will tell .. billmac Posted August 11, 2014 Share #10 Posted August 11, 2014 A lot or bikes idle around 6-700 ours is close to 9-1000 and people that don't know that turn them down and start having problems. When really warmed up they will idle lower but you will get backfires and rough idle.
